‘All persons who are more than three years of age and who travel by bus must do so in a seat that includes a seatbelt if such a seat is available, and they must use the seatbelt where provided. However, when travelling locally in densely populated areas, it is permitted for passengers to do so in seats that do not feature a seatbelt.
The law says that a child who is less than 135 cm tall and who is travelling by car or lorry must use specific protective devices such as baby seats, child seats or car seats/boosters. Buses are not subject to this law and exemptions are also applied to so-called brief journeys by taxi.’
If you have been rebooked onto a replacement bus service and feel at all uncertain about your trip, then our customer service team will naturally be happy to assist in processing a refund or rebooking your train ticket if you choose not to travel on that departure.
