Can I bring my bike/scooter on the train?

Are you traveling by train on the Stockholm–Karlstad–Oslo route with Vy Tåg? We follow the guidelines set by Värmlandstrafik regarding bicycles and electric scooters. Bicycles can only be carried on board if space is available. Our departures 8946 Oslo–Karlstad–Stockholm and 8947 Stockholm–Karlstad–Oslo are often fully occupied. If you intend to travel with a bicycle, we recommend selecting an alternative departure.

Are you planning to travel by train on the Oslo–Gothenburg–Malmö route? In that case, you need to reserve a bicycle space onboard the train. To ensure that you can bring your bicycle with you, you must book your ticket at vy.no. If you do not plan to bring a bicycle, you can book your ticket at vy.se.

If you travel with a train company other than Vy, you need to check that train company's rules for bicycles and electric scooters.
