I'm retired, do I receive a discount on train ticket?

If you are a pensioner, we offer a 15 to 25 per cent discount on Vy Tågs depatures. The discount is based on the regular price. To book a journey with a pensioner discount, you change passenger category from adult to pensioner when choosing your departure.

In order to benefit from the discount, you must be 65 years of age or older, and be able to present valid ID when we inspect your ticket. Pensioners under the age of 65 must have relevant documentation issued by the Swedish Pensions Agency or valid proof that you are in receipt of sickness, activity-based or disability-related pension benefits issued by the Swedish Social Insurance Agency.
