Akershus Fortress
The fortress is set in an inviting area for calming walks, interesting learning and discovery. Here you can enjoy the views across the Oslo Fjord, walk between the tall, old walls and learn more about the 700 year old fortress that was once one of the most prominent defensive buildings in the country. The area is just as interesting after dark as it is during daylight! The Norwegian Armed Forces Museum and the Norway Resistance Museum are also based here.
