Practical information about your bus journey

Wondering how much luggage you can bring with you or which facilities are available on board? Here you can find plenty of information that may be important to know before your departure.

Luggage

You may bring a normal-sized suitcase, or equivalent, and one piece of hand luggage at no additional charge. If you are travelling with children under the age of six, you may bring one buggy in addition to your permitted luggage allowance. This also applies to walkers, wheelchairs and other mobility aids. Bicycles and scooters are not permitted on board our buses.

Comfort on board

When travelling with us, you can choose between Vy Bus4You and Vy express. Vy Bus4You offers first class travel in large, comfortable armchairs with plenty of legspace. There is also free WiFi with unlimited browsing and dedicated power outlets at every seat available throughout your journey.

Travelling with children

Children should always have their own ticket. They therefore have their own seat. Children’s tickets are discounted by up to 20 per cent on all departures.

Travelling with pets

Smaller pets may be carried on board our buses. They must travel in cages no bigger than a normal seat. Pets travel on children’s tickets.

Accessibility

We want everyone to feel welcome to travel with us! Do you have a disability that means you require assistance in relation to your bus journey? Please contact us no later than 36 hours before departure to ensure we can help you in the best way possible.

WiFi and power outlets

Do you want to work, study or watch Netflix while on the move? We offer free WiFi on board Vy Bus4You and Vy express services throughout your journey.

Public transport group bookings

If you are a group wanting to travel on public transport in the county of Västra Götaland then you will need to register your travel plans in advance.

If there are 50 or fewer people in your group, we need advance notification at least three working days prior to your journey. If there are more than 50 people in your group, we will require notification at least 14 working days prior to your journey to ensure we can provide you with our full assistance. Payment for travel will be due to Västtrafik.
